    Raj will be working alongside James Mann and Nicolle Ndiweni, and the rest of the team, to promote Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, to support businesses moving to the area.

Nottingham’s independent Greater Broad Marsh Advisory Group, established by Nottingham City Council in March 2021, has today published its Vision and recommendations for one of the most significant City Centre development sites in the UK and the “once in many generations” opportunity for Nottingham to lead the way in city centre regeneration following the impacts of Covid-19 and online retailing.

    For much of the last decade, I’ve spent my morning commutes walking through Nottingham city centre, looking at the multiple sites earmarked for development and hoping things would come forward, only to get frustrated at the lack of progress. Having now spent the last 11 months commuting between rooms in my house, so much has happened that I think I might struggle to recognise my city when I return!

    Nottingham Development Set To Be A 'UK First'

    The first glimpse of the new images highlights such features as large archways, wide open spaces within the hotel areas and a large atrium to create a light and airy atmosphere for residents and visitors.

    The ambitious plans include a 223-room hotel, 247 residential apartments and an extensive food and beverage area featuring a stunning bar and busy 100-metre long forum for people to meet. There will be contemporary co-working space with 400 desks.

    This latest stage of the development will create up to 350 jobs during the construction phase, with a further 550 when completed and operational.
