Councillor Ben Bradley, Leader of Nottinghamshire County Council and MP for Mansfield joins Invest in Nottingham’s panel at The UK’s Real Estate Investment and Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF).

UKREiiF is set to bring together thousands of delegates comprising of investors, funders and developers who are all looking for new opportunities across the UK. Invest in Nottingham will be showcasing a once in a lifetime development opportunity, including over 60 acres of city centre land at The Broad Marsh and The Island Quarter.

Lorraine Baggs, Head of Investment at Invest in Nottingham said:

“UKREiiF is a fantastic chance for Nottingham to speak directly to investors about the unique opportunity we have to offer. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to reimagine how city centres will look in the future.

The combination of the key sites in the city centre, Broad Marsh and The Island Quarter, and the pivotal sites in the county like the East Midlands Freeport and HS2, mean Nottingham’s transformation into a city of the future is underway, and we want to give investors the opportunity to be part of that.

We’re glad to have the right people on our panel that can take action and make a difference to the future of Nottingham, and we’re pleased that Ben is able to join us in that.”

The Nottingham panel will feature Sajeeda Rose, Director of Growth and City Development at Nottingham City Council, Richard Watson, part of the project delivery team for The Island Quarter and Frank Horsley, Head of Business and Innovation at D2N2 LEP, alongside Ben Bradley MP.

Ahead of his appearance next month, Councillor Ben Bradley MP, said:

“My priority is improving the lives of local people. We owe it to our residents, and to future generations, to be ambitious and to get the best possible deals for the county and the East Midlands, working together to bring in new investment, more and better jobs, better public transport, an improved environment, and more opportunities for skills and training.

“We’ve got ambitious plans to secure greater investment in Nottinghamshire through a devolution deal and major infrastructure projects like HS2 and the East Midlands Freeport. We want to stand alongside other areas like the West Midlands and Greater Manchester, having a bigger voice, and getting the means to deliver positive change for our communities.”

“We can’t deliver such a bold and ambitious vision alone, and we’re proud to be partnering with communities and organisations across the public, private and voluntary sectors as we put our plan into action.”
