Nottingham and Nottinghamshire’s place marketing organisation Marketing Nottingham and Nottinghamshire has started its search for new board directors, looking to bring in people from across the region’s communities and various industries.

The not-for-profit organisation is looking to strengthen its existing board and is therefore keen to hear from people who are passionate about the City and County and willing to dedicate time to join the Board and to support the leadership team.  The organisation is responsible for growing the local economy through encouraging inward investment, attracting business and leisure visitors, student retention and aligning with the local business community.

Those with experience in the visitor economy, culture and creative sectors, inward investment, hospitality, construction, architecture, building services, IT and life sciences are being called on to apply to the role. Skills in HR, as well as marketing and strategy are also sought. The organisation is also looking to ensure the board is representative of the region’s cultures and communities. The Board currently includes senior representation from the local authority, University and business sector.

The decision to recruit new directors has been taken to ensure that the organisation has a wider range of experiences and specialities to draw upon in driving forward their mission to help boost the visitor economy, jobs, investment and growth in the region.

Marketing Nottingham and Nottinghamshire’s board meets quarterly so those interested in joining as directors should be able to commit to that as a minimum.

Marketing Nottingham and Nottinghamshire’s board of directors undertake their duties on a voluntary/non-remunerated basis.
