A new development in Nottingham, Meadows Green, has launched an exciting project to showcase a range of creative talent in the city and county, with plans to furnish and decorate its show home and show apartment using designers, makers and local artists based in the area – asking them to apply through the website now.

The Nottingham Home Project is an idea introduced and championed by Blueprint, the award-winning developer behind Meadows Green, known for its innovative designs of sustainable and low energy homes and passion for supporting local communities.

Meadows Green, located in the Old Meadows area of Nottingham, will comprise of two new adjacent developments, Trent Works (a contemporary development of houses and apartments) and Mundella (a 1930s art deco building which will be converted to apartments). The development is Blueprint’s third in The Meadows alongside the highly successful Hobart & Pitcairn and Green Street projects.

Alec Hamlin is Development Manager at Blueprint and heads up the Meadows Green project: “We know there is a wealth of creative talent out there and we want to introduce our future home owners to what is on offer for them locally.

“We want to find designers, makers, artists and local businesses that can supply original products, artworks, upcycled or vintage pieces that are designed or made in Nottinghamshire. We are looking for items for hallways, kitchens, dining rooms, bedrooms, lounges and bathrooms, that can range from fabrics, to lighting, artworks, furniture and accessories – and we can arrange to hire or buy pieces.

“In return, through The Nottingham Home Project we plan to profile businesses and their work across our social media channels, website and press campaigns and provide details of the products displayed in the show homes so that visitors can buy direct if they are inspired by what they see.

“Sourcing locally is a good investment in the local economy, it reduces environmental impact and will introduce our customers to new and unique products and services on their doorsteps.”
