Nottingham will be taking its strongest team yet to MIPIM, the world’s largest property event in France next year.

Team Nottingham is so far being supported by 31 sponsors in 2018 – the largest group to date. The combined public-private sector team will be highlighting a number of key sites and opportunities at MIPIM – a global stage where business deals get done, and where city region leaders and businesses can meet thousands of potential investors in the space of just a few days.

Next year’s event runs from Tuesday 13 March to Friday 16 March 2018, and is set to welcome more than 24,000 participants from 100 countries.

Having a larger Team Nottingham means the city can really ramp up its profile and will be working even harder to shout about opportunities for  national and international investors and developers.

In 2017, Nottingham attracted major support from private sector sponsors who signed up to support the city and county at MIPIM.  In 2018, Nottingham has attracted even more sponsors – and it’s now the last chance to sign up.

Lorraine Baggs, head of investment at Invest in Nottingham said: “The private sector is working with the public sector and working together to target specific individuals and companies at MIPIM who we would be confident we could work with to bring forward new development schemes in Nottingham”.

This year’s Team Nottingham sponsors so far are are: Cartwright Communications, D2N2, Code Student Accommodation, Couch Perry & Wilkes, CPMG Architects, East Midlands Airport, Elliott Wood Partnership, G F Tomlinson, Geldards, Gleeds, Godwin Developments, Henry Boot Developments, Innes England, Invest in Nottingham, John Pye, Conygar Investment Company, Leonard Design Architects, Morgan Sindall Construction, Maber, Miller Birch, Nottingham City Council, Paragon Interiors Group, RizkMcCay, Roythornes, Scape Group, Sladen Estates, Nottingham Trent University, Nottingham Bid, The University of Nottingham, Willmott Dixon, Browne Jacobson and Arup.

For the second year, Nottingham will be part of the Midlands Pavilion at the property fair in Cannes next spring, promoting its place at the heart of the UK economy and putting the spotlight on the Midlands.

The Midlands Pavilion this year at MIPIM was a huge success – a showcase of what is possible for investors and developers in the Midlands. The pavilion really helped put the spotlight on our regions.

“The pavilion saw 3000 visitors through the door over the three days of MIPIM. There were 48 business events through the week and thousands of articles and features in regional and national press,” added Lorraine.

“For the second time, Team Nottingham members will take their place in a delegation of hundreds at MIPIM representing both the East and West Midlands in the pavilion, a marquee which exclusively showcases the Midlands region.

While the largest number yet have signed up to take their place at MIPIM, there’s still time for other organisations to sponsor.

“We believe there is a vast amount of opportunity and we have sponsors who are very keen to get behind Nottingham at MIPIM next year,” she said.

The Team Nottingham delegation will be organising networking events at MIPIM and there will be events organised collectively in the Midlands Pavilion. Nottingham will be hosting a dinner for Team Nottingham members and investors to highlight the huge opportunities in the city.

MIPIM takes place from 13 to 16 March centred round a large scale exhibition in the Palais de Festival in Cannes in the south of France which attracts tens of thousands of visitors. For more information, log onto www.investinnottingham.com
