Nottingham and Nottinghamshire are undergoing a transformational period of economic regeneration with many nationally significant, major investment opportunities available throughout the city and county. There’s £2bn of investment opportunity in the city centre alone, with £650m of construction currently taking place.
Nottingham city centre has a 'once in many generations' opportunity to become a city of the future, with over 60 acres of prime city centre land available for regeneration, including at Broad Marsh and The Island Quarter.
Broad Marsh
A new vision for the Broad Marsh site has been released, creating a blueprint for future city centres. The vision will transform 20 acres of Nottingham into a green, sustainable, more inclusive area.
The Island Quarter
The Island Quarter is 36 acres of former brownfield land, set to be transformed into a new £1billion 'city within a city'.
It is a unique space designed for people, where they can live, work and spend time.
The masterplan for the site has been redesigned as the first true ‘post-Covid’ development. Incorporating aspects of the ’15-minute city’ concept, and with 10,000 sq m more green space than previously planned.
Centred around a ‘green river,’ The Island Quarter will include a 223 room hotel in partnership with IHG, and have more than 20 restaurants and bars, with Canal Turn, a three-storey bar and restaurant led by Laurence Henry, set to open this summer.
The vision for the development features more than 900 residential units, nearly 60,000 sq ft of office space and 702 student accommodation beds.
