300 jobs at £25m site

Up to 300 jobs could be created if a £25m shop and offices scheme gets the go-ahead.

Peter Gadsby, the developer behind successful Nottingham developments the Ng2 business park and Phoenix Park, at Cinderhill, wants to develop a supermarket, leisure and offices on the site of the former Sunlight laundry, in Daleside Road, Colwick.

Mr Gasdsby believes the scheme will help kick-start the redevelopment of the rundown waterside area along the River Trent.

A planning application has been submitted by Mr Gadsby's company, Cedar Holdings.

Mr Gadsby said: We expect the scheme to provide more than 300 jobs, together with a further 200 construction jobs."
