.NOTTINGHAM is one of 30 councils across the UK that have been given cash to look at ways of improving people's quality of life.
Each council has been handed £50,000 to look at how it could integrate transport, communications and other infrastructure to boost the local economy, improve the quality of life and reduce the impact on the environment.
One city will be picked in January next year to be given £24 million to implement its proposal.
The cash has come from the Government's Technology Strategy Board.
