Radisson Blu to recruit more staff
19 June 2012A recruitment drive is underway at the Radisson Blu at East Midlands Airport as a result of "strong business growth" at the 218-room hotel in its first six months of trading.
Building on the initial recruitment of 70 staff from the area, the four-star hotel is now looking for an additional ten staff to join its team.
All the roles are being recruited locally through job centres around Derby, Nottingham and Leicester.
Roles being recruited include chefs, waiting staff, housekeepers and receptionists.
General manager Daniel Keane said: "We are delighted to be able to offer further employment to people in the region."
The extra staff are needed because of the growing business at the hotel, which caters for the business and leisure traveller and the meetings and events sector, Radisson Blu added.
Radisson Blu Hotels & Resorts, part of the Rezidor Hotel Group, currently operates more than 200 hotels worldwide, with another 51 projects under development.
