Nottingham is top location location location

Nottingham came in for high praise when a well-known property programme paid a visit recently.

Property experts Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer described the city as 'thriving' and 'on the up' when their popular Channel 4 series Location Location Location visited the area looking for the dream place for local home seekers.

They praised the city for its investments in public transport - pointing to the expansion of the tram network as a bonus for people looking to buy in the Chilwell area - and mentioned the many big businesses which call it home. They also described its 'vibrant sports and arts scenes' as one of the reasons why Nottingham appeals to young people. They added that property prices compare favourably to many large cities.

Kirstie remarked: "It's no surprise that so many people love living here."

The pair helped potential buyers consider the merits of houses in Basford, Sherwood, Attenborough, Chilwell and Ruddington. You can see the programme on Channel 4's 4oD service here: Location Location Location.
