Commuters get megaphone message

4 September 2008 Early morning commuters found themselves being urged to get off the train and stay in Nottingham today.

But the message delivered by megaphone wasn't a call for people to cut back on travelling.

Businessman Mark Shaw was highlighting the creative talent in the city to persuade people there's no need to pay London prices for services like advertising, design and marketing.

Mr Shaw, who is chairing this year's Nottingham Creative Business Awards, said: "People automatically think they need to go to London to find services like this, but the fact is they don't. We have got genuinely talented creative businesses in Nottingham who can provide everything they need."
