We are pleased to report that since 1st June Invest in Nottingham has received 33 enquiries. 26 direct enquiries, 7 from East Midlands Development Agency. Of the direct enquiries we took, 2 were Financial and Business Services, 9 Retail and Leisure, 3 Science and Technology, 5 Creative Industries and 7 were from other sectors..

Construction of Net Phase two granted

 

Transport minister Sadiq Khan has granted conditional approval for construction of the second phase of Nottingham’s tram network through a private finance initiative which is valued at £680m.

Go ahead for improvements to The Meadows

 

Nottingham City Council has been successful in their bid for Government PFI credits for a major regeneration scheme in The Meadows.

Launched at MIPIM 2009, the Council bid for £200m and will be awarded a share of a £1.9bn Government Private Finance Initiative (PFI) for housing improvements.

Nottingham creative businesses showcase in London

 

Three Nottingham Creative Business entrepreneurs have been given a key stage on the Southbank of London as part of Wayne Hemingway’s latest scheme KiosKiosK.

The opportunity comes as Nottingham is looking to enhance its profile as a creative city of national and international importance. Part of the wider push on Nottingham’s creativity includes this year’s Nottingham Creative Business Awards (7 October, 2009) and the Roses Design Awards (23 October, 2009).

A new creative business centre for Nottingham

 

Invest in Nottingham have been working with the Confetti Media Group to help them attract new creative businesses to their new venue Antenna. A launch event is planned for the only Dolby licensed centre outside of London in October this year to attract both local and national businesses to Nottingham.
